Mooresville

We had a good game plan tonight vs. Mooresville, but just didn't hit enough shots to pull off the upset. They are ranked #3 in 4A and #5 overall, but will probably move up since Oak Hill lost this week. Lots of high profile coaches and basketball people in the house to see our game followed by Elmhurst and Ben Davis. We closed to within six early in the fourth quarter, but couldn't get over the top.

We got some good contributions from our younger kids tonight. Bailey, Matte, and B all had their moments. We ran the floor well and got to the free throw line 29 times compared to just 11 for Mooresville. Once we start shooting the ball a little better and get our press defense package in place, we ought to be able to dictate. I thought we were much better defensively tonight and certainly played with a higher degree of urgency than we did Wednesday against Woodlan.

Tabitha led us with 18 points and Cassie chipped in with 10. Madison got us started with seven points in the first half. Paige was a thorn in the side of Jama Sharp all night, limiting her to just 12 points, all hard-earned. We took some positives from the game, especially when we consider that we did all this without Becky. Looking forward to Eastside on Tuesday.
